Well established brokerage seeking experienced individual who can create 5 to 10 transactions per day while working toward increasing that business.

Long standing, top rated firm has a position for an individual experienced in sales that can excel at brokerage of produce and refrigerated food truckloads. Our team is customer focused, fast paced and results driven while maintaining a friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities Include:
Evaluating shippers, receivers, and carriers against company requirements. Building and expanding a book of business in accordance with company objectives that result in long term relationships.

Negotiating freight charges with customers and carriers that result in acceptable brokerage fees.

Booking orders, hiring carriers, dispatching and mentoring drivers, scheduling deliveries, tracking and reporting on shipments and resolving problems.

Evaluating negotiating and processing of freight claims.

Keeping collections current and performing all other tasks that support smooth and efficient office functions.

The candidates must be CLOSERS with the ability to take ownership and manage all that can happen in a transaction involving the transportation of a load of perishables.

Skills, Education:
Sales, shipping and receiving, transportation, etc.

Written and verbal skills that will allow you to communicate with anyone from a corporate executive to a truck driver or a farmer moving produce right out of the field.

Associated Freight Brokers, Inc. is located in Yakima, Washington with branch offices in Sunnyside, and Selah Washington. Associated has been in business since November 2, 1988. Randall A. Ward, owner of Associated, has been involved in the brokerage industry since 1978.

We are principally engaged in the transport of fresh, dry, and frozen food products throughout the North American Continent. Associated manages all aspects of shipments including drayage, semitrailers as specified, arranging of pickup and delivery appointments, palletization, providing cargo insurance, providing of in transit reports, and compliance with ICC and DOT regulations.
